A secluded home in the rolling hills of New England provides entertainment and solitude for a retired couple and their extended family. Prominent views of nearby mountain ranges guided the orientation of the new home on this naturally sloping, rocky site. A comprehensive master plan includes a long driveway and forecourt, entry gardens, entertainment terraces, walls, water features, a fire pit; an outdoor kitchen and play lawn along with acres of restored meadow and grasslands which extend beyond the developed landscape. Porous paving, floating islands, and other sustainable approaches are utilized in the design of this natural landscape.
