Woodland Retreat
VIENNA, VIRGINIA
A woodland garden designed for outdoor living and relaxation focuses on a dramatic lily pond with layered waterfalls and aquatic plantings. This project creates livable space from steep hillsides, the central challenge of the site. Multiple layers of trees, ornamental grasses, and large shrubs are used to embrace, define and seclude private living terraces from the more public portions of the property.
