A lively presentation on creatively transforming ordinary home sites into extraordinary outdoor living spaces and gardens while integrating sustainable materials and native plants. Ms. Clinton shares the exquisite built elements, extensive plant knowledge and
painterly designs that have led her firm, Clinton & Associates, to national recognition.

Moving Toward Native
By integrating native plants in the designed landscape we help reduce negative human impact on our environment. Decreasing the need for water, maintenance, and fertilizers in our gardens while increasing the diversity of plant materials and animal habitats encourages the return of bees, birds and butterflies. Ms. Clinton discusses the how’s and why’s of integrating native plants into the designed landscape using photo examples from landscape architects on the forefront of this movement.
Potager Garden Design
Exploring the ornamental vegetable garden. A delightful look at the history of the kitchen garden. Be inspired to incorporate beautiful ideas and plant combinations into your garden as you work toward eating locally. Ms. Clinton details the structure of the kitchen garden with images of both traditional and whimsical design elements.
