Sandra Youssef Clinton, FASLA is President of Clinton & Associates, PC. She has been a practicing landscape architect since the completion of her Master’s Degree from the University of Virginia in 1984. In 1980 she received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Plant Science and Horticulture from the University of Delaware. She is registered as a landscape architect in the states of Maryland and Virginia, and is CLARB certified to practice in all fifty states. Sandy was elected a Fellow in the American Society of Landscape Architects in 2005. Prior to founding her own firm in 1998, Sandy was a Senior Associate with
Oehme, van Sweden and Associates, Inc.
Throughout her career Sandy has taken a hand’s-on and personal approach to her work. She participates in all aspects of design, field measuring, site analysis and layout of plant materials on her construction projects. She works hand-in-hand with her clients to understand their needs and desires, and communicates openly and fully to assure a successful end result. Her particular expertise, beyond design and proportion of outdoor space, is her knowledge of plant materials, which is realized in the richness of plant combinations in her finished works.
She is an articulate communicator and strong leader who stays involved in all aspects of design and management for each project. Sandy’s creative abilities have positioned her as prime lead on many collaborative teams of designers, consultants and contractors, and she is responsible for timely and on-budget requirements.
Matthew J. Sellers is an Associate Landscape Architect with Clinton & Associates and has been involved in managing and designing commercial projects since 2010. Matt holds a Master of Landscape Architecture from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and a Bachelor of Urban Planning from the University of Cincinnati. Matt brings extensive leadership capabilities along with keen knowledge of commercial development, design, and technical expertise to every project he manages.
Lauren Fisher is a Junior Landscape Architect on our design team, aiding in design, detailing, master planning, and planting designs on commercial projects, and assisting with coordination of contractors and general contracting services on the residential side of the firm. Lauren holds a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture from Virginia Polytechnic Institute.
Rosamaria Mora Montenegro is a Junior Landscape Architect and has been involved in commercial and residential projects with Clinton & Associates since 2009. Rosy hails from Panama City, Panama, where she studied and practiced Architecture and holds a degree from the University of Panama. She is currently a final year student in the Master of Landscape Architecture program at the University of Maryland. Rosy completes the bulk of our 3-D design work, along with detailing, construction documents, and planting design drawings and specifications.
Mary Ann Allison is the firm’s Director of Administration and Marketing. With a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Arts and Design from Virginia Commonwealth University, Mary Ann contributes to the development of proposals, as well as media and public outreach, in addition to her lead financial and administrative responsibilities with the firm. She is a former design associate with David Pesanelli & Associates of Washington, DC, where she specialized in large-scale commercial and governmental signage and exhibit design.
